Excellent fire rod and tinder wick. Works like a charm. I use this in my emergency kit for canoe and packraft trips. Overall, FF is easy to use, well-thought-out quality gear. I highly recommend it.

Another excellent purchase from Forest Fundamentals I actually divided the kit out, putting the jute wick and micro bellows into a different tin that is carried my knife sheath (with its own ferro rod), but added some fat wood to the original tin with the ferro rod and little tinder mat, which is perfect for fat wood scrapings Two different kits for two different load outs. Very happy

Very clever design and materials as always from F.F. Much easier to move the Flame to the Tinder or use as a Taper into a Twig Stove. Decanted from Tin and stashed in a tiny pouch with a few Fire Plugs as a reliable back up or even as a compact reliable primary kit. Strikes very well and works a treat.
Great product, sturdy tin, the kit inside is well made and will greatly aid my bushcraft journey.

Smaller than I was expecting, which makes it even more portable! Not had chance to use it in anger but feels great and a really handy little kit.

It was bought as a present so hasn’t been opened or used yet so I can’t review the product. There was a slight delay with the order but Elvis kept me informed of what was happening which was appreciated.

Nice little kit in a compact tin. The stealth fire starter works really well, lights easily. The little tinder mat is a nice touch providing a dry spot for ember collection or fat wood shavings.
Great product and excellent service
Great little kit, does what it's intended to! The lid of the tin slides off too easily (the little dimple isn't big enough to keep the lid in place) - otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. The customer service from FF was excellent - my original order never arrived but there was no hesitation from Elvis about sending out a replacement and his response to emails was timely. The original order eventually turned up and will be returned.

Get little kit, I have it as a back up if my flint and steel fails. The ferro rod and scraper are excellent, throw out loads of sparks that fizzle. The jute rope catches light almost instantly from them, burns really slowly and extinguished immediately when pulling back into the tube. All fits together into a tin a bit smaller than a 2oz tobacco tin, so nice and compact. All in all very pleased with the purchase!
