Chris Murnin

I am an outdoorsman based in Leicestershire with a lifelong passion for wild places, sharing my personal journey through living and teaching outside.

As a professional of Outdoor Learning, my experience ranges from guided international expeditions, mountaineering in rugged terrain, and multi-day paddle trips along our river networks, and I continue to deliver bushcraft skills courses that connect people to nature in meaningful ways.

Beyond my work, I am a parent and a perpetual student, always learning from the landscapes I travel through and the people I teach.

Whether exploring woodlands, camping under the stars, or adventuring with my kids, the outdoors is both my classroom and my home. I like to share these adventures along with outdoorsy tips and tricks on my Instagram page and YouTube channel.

I also run a series of adult & child outdoor and bushcraft courses in partnership with the team at Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre. For more information, please email me at murnin.chris@googlemail.com.

Joe Price

I've dedicated over eight years to the outdoor, survival, and wilderness skills space as a successful survival instructor and wilderness skills teacher. My journey has taken me across the globe, teaching in Denmark, Japan, the US, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Norway, Finland, and Italy, where I've collaborated with some of the most prestigious schools in this field.

Currently, I'm a product developer at Helle Knives, where I focus on designing and bringing exceptional outdoor knives to market. Alongside my professional role, I serve as an ambassador for several prominent outdoor brands (including Forest Fundamentals!), sharing my passion for wilderness living and survival tools.

As a writer, I've contributed to both major and small-press magazines and books, sharing my knowledge, insights, and stories about the outdoors and survival skills. I've also authored my own field guides, designed to inspire and educate outdoor enthusiasts.

Additionally, I've built and nurtured a thriving Facebook community, Living To Learn, with over 13,000 members—a space where like-minded individuals connect and share their love for the outdoors.

I hold certifications in Advanced First Aid, Mountain Leader Skills, Wilderness Living Skills, and Product Development & Design. I've also worked extensively as a product tester behind the scenes, helping brands refine their gear for real-world performance.

For me, it's all about blending hands-on experience, expert knowledge, and a deep passion for the wild to empower others to explore, learn, and thrive in nature.
