DESCRIPTION
At Forest Fundamentals, we've long relied upon the classic BCB MK1 and MK2 canteen cups. For a long time, we made do with improvised tin-foil lids, never finding a proper metal lid that actually fit. In the end, we decided to design our own. Introducing the Forest Fundamentals Canteen Lids!
The Materials: The lids are stamped from 304 Stainless Steel, highly resistant to heat and corrosion. Unlike aluminium or copper, it also doesn't leach chemicals or react with food.
Manufacturing: After stamping, we laser-engrave the logos to ensure they won't fade with repeated use. The lids are then deburred and brushed to remove sharp edges and create a clean, textured finish.
Benefits of the Lids: The advantages of lids are pretty clear! Lids help conserve all types of fuel and significantly cut down boil times. Spending ages waiting for your coffee to boil in the morning, or your meal to heat up after a long day's hike, is never ideal.
The Folding D-Ring Handle: The handle makes it easy to lift the lid when hot. We've increased the size of the handles for better grip when wearing gloves. Over an open fire, the opening is also wide enough to use a stick or the end of a knife to safely lift the lid and check on the cup's contents. The D-rings are also very stiff and will stay in the upright position.
Size Information: The lids are specifically designed to be compatible with the BCB Crusader MK1 and MK2 canteen cups only. They are not compatible with any other model cups.

Great product you should think about making one ro suit the ditch army stainless cup
All good, bought two, would buy more, the black is just black spray on high temp stove paint, pity theres is not more available to buy
Just a garden brew up, given the hot weather we're having. My regular set up and the lid finishes it off nicely. Well made, great fit, easy to pack, not heavy, does the job. Very happy with it.
Great to finally find a commercialy made lid for the Crusader cup. Definitely worth getting.
Perfect Lid for the Crusader cup. My plastic BCB one was ok but melted. This one is really well put together and should last a lifetime.
Excellent well made lids perfect addition to my mug, I did have a aluminium one but finally someone made a stainless steel version which is a massive improvement, Well in FF 😁👍🏻
As with all the FF products I have purchased this does not disappoint. Well made, good fit and a great price. Arrived quickly after order.
Once the crusader MK1 lid arrived, i gave it a go. It has an excellent fit and the fingle doesn't fall down on its own enable the lid to be removed easily.
Arrived today and it has been used straight off for a brew in the garden, it's soo much better than the BCB plastic one no worries that it'll get too hot and melt, quality is really good hopefully it will get plenty of use this summer.
I was just about to make one out of an old mess tin , when I seen this little beauty for sale . Really pleased with it, the price is excellent and the quality. Should last a lifetime . Thanks guys

Brilliant bit of kit. Been waiting for someone to make this for years. I have multiple different canteen/bottle cook sets, but I've always found the crusader set to be my all-round favourite, except for the lack of a steel mug lid. This makes the crusader set the absolute GOAT!

Great service . professional packaging
They are lightweight compared to the pathfinder lids, but i'm happy enough with them considering no one makes them for the BCB cups. Think i have bought 6 of them a few as spares. Had a very small issue with one lid but Elvis sorted that out, next time they came in stock. Been buying bits and bobs from them for past few years

The lid for the MK2 is nice but leave a lot to be desired. The fit is very very loose and the edges sharp. I was expecting a nice tight fit. If you move the cup around the lid splashes back and forth. For the cost it's really disappointing. I have a pathfinder lid that I was using before, while it doesn't cover the whole cup, it barely rattles at all. The FF cup lid moves around like it's simply made too small for the actual crusader cup. Really think it's worth the team looking at the design and user experience. If you are buying this lid you want it to actually fit nice, snug and not have huge amounts of play.
