TrailGrate™ (Folding) | Open-Fire Griddle / Grill

It’s often hard to find the space for bulky cooking griddles, especially when you’re out for a few nights. At the same time, cooking a full meal on a small griddle can become quite cumbersome. We set out to design a folding grill that’s portable and lightweight, yet still large enough to cook on — introducing the Folding TrailGrate™

Flexibility Outdoors: The grill can be set over an open fire in multiple ways — resting on rocks or logs, suspended with green sticks, or wedged securely in the side of an upright post, or tree. Also works with twig stoves when folded.

The Materials: Made from Stainless Steel, the griddles are highly resistant to heat and corrosion. Unlike aluminium or copper, it also doesn’t leach chemicals or react with food.

The Manufacturing: Each griddle is cut, bent, and welded from 304 stainless steel for durability and high heat resistance. All edges are also deburred to ensure no sharp edges.

Lightweight & Portable: When folded, the griddles slip easily into your pack or outer pockets. The griddles also weigh only 214 grams due to the mesh construction.

Cooking: The griddles are large enough to cook full meals on, perfect for grilling fish, steaks, burgers, and vegetables, to name a few! Multiple foods can also be cooked at once and re-positioned to keep warm or to free up space for new ingredients.

Carrying Bags: We hand-make the bags from thick 12oz Cotton Canvas that’s waterproofed using Martexin Original Wax. The wax is made using a bend of non-hazardous food-grade waxes, that produces a visually waterproof finish, and develops a well-worn patina with age.
