Excellent ferro rod, the strikers that come with it are superb, they certainly throw a shower of sparks, I keep mine separate to my knife. Absolutely great service as always from forest fundamentals.

I bought the striker as using the back of your knife isn't always the best way to be safe in the woods. The striker is light and very effective causing loads of sparks and feels nice in the hand, including the fire steel. Buy one you won't be disappointed.
Fab product, I gave the wooden handle a coat of Oil as it’s untreated and it looks great now. Didn’t come with the karabiner as listed, but no issues there.
Excellent fire starter from a great company. It throws a perfect arc of sparks and so far has ignited on the first strike every time. This independent company is well with your support. I will definitely be buying from them in the future.

Good delivery time. Nice packaging. Even came with a personal thank you note and some simple instructionsteps on fire steel use. The product itself is a very good size, larget enough to get a good spark but not too big as to be unwieldy or impractical. The materials used are also very good quality and there is clearly a high level of craftsmanship. The steel striker looks and feels great to use. Came with a leather lanyard attached to a small silver clip to attach to a belt or bag etc... This is an awesome product both aesthetically and practically. 5 stars!!!

This is a very nice product. You can tell the items and its packaging have been well thought through. The wooden handle makes holding a relatively small ferro rod easy which in turn makes it easy to create descent sparks. The sparks could be created with the back of a knife but the supplied striker does a great job. The addition of the resin rich fat stick, which I'm saving for a needs must situation, is a lovely touch. This gear has enabled my son to enjoy successful fire lighting, which he's previously struggled with while using inferior equipment. I have no doubt this will give many more successful strikes!

I am very pleased with the Artisan fire starter kit. Having suffered cheaper and inferior products l paid a bit more and got something that really kicks some sparks out. The fat wood attachment is a useful and nice touch and l look forward to starting many fires in the field in future. Very highly recommended for all outdoors folk.
