Welcome to our range of field-proven ferro rods and tinders.

All of our ferro rods are made using our own Forest Fundamentals Ferrocerium™ blend.
We tested numerous ferro rod compositions—continually refining the make-up of the pyrophoric alloy—until we achieved the optimal balance between softness and durability.

Our ferro rods are soft enough to produce large showers of molten sparks, while remaining hard enough to ensure longevity.

Our strikers are also designed in-house and manufactured from heat-treated steel. The raised striking edge helps remove maximum material with minimal effort, producing large showers of sparks. They are also suitable for left-handed users.
