DESCRIPTION

Our new Bushcraft cookware range wouldn't be complete without quality alcohol stoves. Meet our new spill and evaporation-proof open-flame alcohol stove tins!

While these alcohol tins may lack the flashy appeal of titanium alternatives, the screw-lid design offers very practical benefits. Most of us carry alcohol or spirit burners for two key reasons: to keep weight to a minimum or as a reliable backup cooking method. The stove’s design is built around these two principles.

EASILY EXTINGUISHED:
Unlike most open-flame stoves, the screw-lid design allows for easy extinguishing. Simply place the lid over the stove to snuff out the flame, conserving unused fuel.

LIGHTER THAN TITANIUM ALTERNATIVES:
Along with significant cost savings, the 60ml stove tin, including the felts, weighs just 20 grams (0.70 ounces). This is considerably lighter than several titanium alternatives we tested, which weighed between 50 and 70 grams (1.76–2.47 ounces).

COLD WEATHER PERFORMANCE:
The graphite felt inserts serve as an insulator for the denatured alcohol, ensuring efficient vaporization of the fuel and enhancing the overall thermal efficiency of the stove.

SAVING FUEL & TRANSPORTATION:
The graphite felt inserts and screw-lid design allow you to transport denatured alcohol inside the tin on the move, eliminating the need to pour excess fuel back into storage bottles.

USING WITH SOLID FUEL:
The carbon cloths are easily removed, allowing the stove tins to accommodate solid fuel tablets such as Hexamine Fuel Tablets, Trioxane Bars, and Esbit Tabs. The tins act as a leak-proof tray, preventing spillage and ensuring the tablets stay in place for consistent flame positioning.

EXTRA STORAGE SPACE:
The screw-lid design makes these stoves ideal for storing other essential fire prep items like a small ferro rod, fire starters, or matches. When not in use, the tins double as a compact survival kit, helping you save space and keep your pack organized.

NO ACCIDENTAL SPILLAGE:
A common issue with alcohol stoves is the risk of spillage—one accidental knock, and clear-burning fuel can spill across your campsite. The felt inserts solve this problem by absorbing the fuel. Even if the stove is knocked over, there’s no spillage—the fuel stays securely contained within the graphite felts.

LESS EVAPORATION:
A common issue with alcohol stoves is rapid fuel evaporation when not sealed in an airtight container. The carbon felts help slow this process, preserving fuel for longer.
