When we’re out in the woods for a short trip — or only cooking meals for one — there’s rarely a need to carry a large, bulky griddle. Most cooking is done over small twig stoves anyway, where big griddles don’t sit securely or balance well. Introducing the TrailGrate (Mini)!.
Flexibility Outdoors: The griddles can be positioned over an open fire in multiple ways — resting on rocks or logs, suspended with green sticks, or wedged securely into the side of an upright post or tree.
Designed for Twig Stoves: Both griddles measure 150mm (5.9”) across — large enough to cook a single steak, yet compact enough to remain stable on most twig stoves.
Includes Two Pieces: Each set includes 1× Circular Griddle and 1× Square Griddle. During testing, we found that different stove designs worked better with different shapes — so we included both.
Lightweight & Portable: Both griddles are extremely lightweight and slide easily into your pack or outer pockets.
The Materials: Made from Stainless Steel, the griddles are highly resistant to heat and corrosion. Unlike aluminium or copper, stainless steel doesn’t leach chemicals or react with food.
The Manufacturing: Each griddle is cut, bent, and welded from 304 stainless steel for durability and high heat resistance. All edges are deburred to eliminate sharp edges.
Carrying Bags: We hand-make the bags from thick 12oz Cotton Canvas, waterproofed using Martexin Original Wax — a blend of non-hazardous food-grade waxes that creates a water-resistant finish and develops a beautiful patina over time.
