ALWAYS STAY ON TRACK: Even on well-marked trails, it’s easy to overlook checkpoints and stray from the trails. Whether you're pausing for a photo, setting up camp, or taking a detour, pace beads simplify retracing your path to the trail.
INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS: The pace beads come with a detailed set of instructions, and video. They cover topics including determining your pace count in various terrains and using the beads in conjunction with a compass.
MASTERING THE PACE BEADS: After your pace count has been reached, simply slide down one bead, each bead represents 100 metres. After moving all 10 beads, slide down one of the four remaining beads, indicating you've covered 1 kilometre. Once all four beads have been you'll have traversed a total of 4 kilometres.
MULTI-PURPOSE CORDAGE: Our pace beads use 550 'Survival Cord', featuring paraffin-wax-infused strands. These strands are easily ignited a Ferro Rod, burn very slowly and will remain lit in strong winds and rain.
ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS: The carabiner clip facilitates easy attachment of the beads and ensures swift access while on the trails. A 100-decibel mechanical-free whistle is also included for signalling.
USING WITH A COMPASS: As well as tracing distance, pairing pace beads with a compass enables you to pinpoint your location consistently, even in darkness. No landmarks, GPS, or trail signs are required!
