We also designed the bag to be mounted onto the outside of your pack, freeing up much-needed space, while incorporating a functional compression system.

On the exterior, we’ve added a large elasticated pocket intended for straps, guy-lines, tent pegs and other smaller accessories.

In the following slides, we cover all of the design features in detail.

On the outside of the bag, we’ve added a large rectangular pocket designed for straps, tent pegs, guy-lines and other accessories. The sides and lid are elasticated, allowing the pocket to expand to accommodate larger items. The contents are secured with a thick hook-and-loop closure.

The mounting points allow straps to be fitted horizontally or vertically, compressing the contents from multiple directions to minimise packed size. The bag is designed around our compression/pack straps, but is compatible with any straps up to 30mm wide.

The compression mounting points are also positioned so the straps don’t interfere with the MOLLE webbing, keeping all attachment points accessible.

The 240D ripstop nylon, internal PU coating, taped seams and roll-top closure make the bag completely waterproof. It can even be fully submerged without leaking.

We’ve also tested the material to ensure it is thick enough to protect the contents from accidental scrapes, snags and knocks.

For cold hands or gloves, we’ve added a bottom handle to help pull out tightly packed gear. The elasticated front pocket also makes it easy to reach smaller accessories at the bottom of the pocket.
