DESCRIPTION

At Forest Fundamentals, we try to avoid selling anything we don't design ourselves. While these cups and bottles are based on industry-standard designs, we decided to offer them to ensure all of the nesting stove accessories are available in one place and with dimensions that are guaranteed to nest with other products.

After going back and forth, we decided on a Titanium cup and plastic bottle nesting system instead of a metal option. Plastic bottles are lighter, great for multi-day trips, and more budget-friendly. The 750ml cups will also handle most tasks — one, or two boils provides enough water for a day's hike, and their capacity is perfect for cooking as well.

On the outside of the bottles we’ve added a graph showing daily water intake requirements based on air temperature and activity intensity.  This quick guide helps determine how many quarts per day (qt/d) you need to stay hydrated. Note: 1 qt/d equals 0.94 litres.

The bottles are made from BPA-free plastic and are virtually indestructible. A rubber O-ring in the lid ensures they stay completely leak-proof. The bottle also has printed measurements in both millilitres (ml) and fluid ounces (fl

On the cups, we have replaced the standard bail handles with a stainless steel wire handle. In our experience, the standard bail handles take up too much space and don't pack down efficiently.

The FF bail handles are made from 7x7 twisted stainless steel cable, so they’re pretty much indestructible. Each set includes two stainless steel carabiner clips for full detachment, and a top loop for easy hanging from setups like an A-frame pot hanger.

Also included is one of our new cotton bandannas — ideal for stopping rattling when nesting cups and bottles, wiping away soot, or even for use in the field as a water filter or for making char cloth.

What's included?

• 1x Gr2 Titanium 750ml Cup

• 1x Stainless Steel Cable Bail Handle

• 1x Silicon Lip Protectors (Multiple Colours Available)

• 1x Anti-Rattle Nesting Cotton Bandanna

• 1x Orange Polyester Bottle Bag

Why did we choose the 750ml cup size to nest with the stoves?

It was important we designed the nesting stoves to work with gear you already own — since many people use 32oz wide-mouth bottles, the 750ml size was the perfect fit by design.

We also believe the 750ml size offers the most flexibility outdoors. It provides a practical boiling capacity, requiring only 2-4 boils for a full days water supply for one person.

It’s also large enough for cooking and eating from, eliminating the need for separate eating trays, or plates. While it’s not ideal for frying or complex meals, in our experience, it’s the perfect size for MREs, rice, beans, and other hiking foods.

The cups are made from Grade 1 titanium, making them extremely lightweight at just 105 grams. True to titanium’s nature, they’re highly resistant to heat and corrosion—they won’t crack under the repeated pressure of use outdoors.

What are the lip protectors?

Included with the cup — a bit of a luxury — are the lip protectors. While titanium cools quickly, it also heats up fast. These protectors shield your lips from the heat and are made from heat-resistant, food-grade silicone, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 446°F (230°C) without melting under normal use.
